The game was influenced by the want to play a Dungeons and Dragons: Castle Ravenloft type game without all of the space requirements and somewhat "lengthy" adventures. I personally have nothing against a lengthy adventure, it's just that finding time and people to participate in one is harder. It's also harder to just pick up where you left off if you have to put the game away after lunch.
I also wanted to do something where it was easy to have the game randomly generate goals and tasks for the game, like the same room but the goal can change. For example, maybe one time you draw a simple "defeat all enemies in the room" or maybe another time you draw "find the three keys to open the door". It was also important that any player could just generate a random task and map and just have a enough time to complete a task by the end of lunch.
Anyhow. Working diligently! Also planning on using my style of artwork for this one. Hopefully it's charming enough for the masses.
